IN0003: AI Product Engineer Intern (Full-Stack + AI)
Duration: 3 months
About the Role
We're looking for a highly motivated AI Product Engineer Intern to work across product, engineering, and AI implementation. This is a hands-on build role for freshers who want to ship real products fast, learn startup execution, and work directly with the founders.
You'll get exposure across the full stack, with the chance to go deep in the areas you're strongest in. We don't hire interns to shadow or make slides. You'll own tasks end-to-end from day one.
What You'll Do
- Build and ship product features end-to-end across frontend, backend, and database
- Work on both internal products and client-facing builds
- Integrate AI into user workflows (LLM APIs, prompt flows, automation)
- Improve UI/UX to make product experiences intuitive
- Use low-code/no-code and AI-assisted tools wherever they speed things up
- Take part in rapid prototyping, testing, and iterative releases
- Own tasks from idea all the way to deployment
What We're Looking For
A working foundation (basic to strong) in the following. You don't need all of these at depth. Genuine exposure across them plus a real eagerness to learn matters more than ticking every box:
- Frontend: React.js / Next.js
- Backend: Node.js, Python
- Database: PostgreSQL
- Understanding of the full-stack product lifecycle (build, deploy, iterate)
- Prompt-engineering fundamentals and comfort with AI API usage
- Comfort with modern AI dev tools (Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT/Copilot)
- Strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to learn fast
Technical Background (Flexible)
AI usage is a core part of how we build. You should come in ready to work with AI tools as part of your daily workflow:
- Open to AI-assisted ('vibe coding') workflows, but with engineering discipline
- Practical exposure to low-code/no-code tools
- Awareness of image-generation and AI productivity tools is a plus
- Available to work Monday to Saturday, 8 hours per day
- Your own development machine: Windows laptop/PC (Intel i7 or equivalent, 16GB+ RAM) or a Mac capable of running local dev servers and backend workloads (we do not provide hardware)
- Stable internet connection for remote collaboration
What You'll Gain
- Direct, day-to-day work with the founders and core team
- Real ownership over features you ship
- A steep learning curve in AI product engineering
- PPO and full-time potential based on performance
- End-to-end exposure across product, engineering, and AI
- A genuine path to becoming a long-term core-team member
Compensation Structure
This role follows a phased stipend model. Month 1: Unpaid (training, onboarding, and project alignment). Months 2 and 3: Rs 5,000/month. Strong performance can lead to an increased stipend, an extended engagement, and a full-time offer.
Interview Process
Our hiring process has four stages: resume screening, a short practical assignment (1 to 1.5 hours), a live build evaluation, and a founder discussion round. To apply, submit the following through our careers page:
- Resume
- GitHub profile
- Portfolio or live project links
- A short intro (around 150 words): tell us one thing you've built and why this role fits you
Who Should Apply
- Freshers with an ownership mindset who treat the product like their own
- Builders with high curiosity and a self-driven learning attitude
- Comfortable with ambiguity and the pace of an early-stage startup
- Focused on speed, with scalable thinking
- Strong communication and accountability in a remote work setting
- Those with a GitHub profile, portfolio, or live project links ready to share
At Intants you build real-world AI products, not practice projects. This is a high-impact role early in your career with a genuine path to becoming a long-term core-team member.
