IN0001 — AI Product Intern
Duration: 0–3 months (Potential Full-time)
This role is no longer accepting applications.
About the Role
We are building AI-powered products focused on real-world use cases in education and other domains. As an AI Product Intern, you will work closely with the founding team to design, build, and iterate on AI-driven product features from day one.
This role is ideal for students who have already tried building things on their own and want to go deeper into how AI is actually used in real products. We care less about formal experience and more about initiative, curiosity, and proof of building.
What You'll Do
- Build and prototype AI-powered product features end-to-end or in scoped modules
- Work hands-on with AI tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, ChatGPT, or similar coding assistants
- Design, test, and refine prompts to improve AI output quality
- Translate product ideas into simple workflows and user-facing experiences
- Debug, test, and iterate on AI-generated code
- Collaborate with other interns and receive direct mentorship from the founders
- Participate in design reviews, demos, and feedback sessions
What We're Looking For
We are specifically looking for candidates who have tried building products on their own, even if they are small, unfinished, or experimental. You're a strong fit if you:
- Have built personal projects, side projects, or prototypes (academic or non-academic)
- Have code available on GitHub or similar platforms
- Can demo a project during the interview and explain how you built it
- Have experimented with AI tools to write, modify, or debug code
- Are comfortable learning by doing rather than following step-by-step instructions
- Show persistence when things don't work the first time
Technical Background (Flexible)
You don't need to be an expert, but familiarity with some of the following is helpful:
- Basic programming concepts (any language is fine)
- Using AI tools to assist with coding and problem-solving
- Understanding how prompts influence AI behavior
- Basic frontend, backend, or workflow automation experience
What You'll Gain
- Real experience building and shipping AI-powered product features
- Mentorship on product thinking, AI workflows, and startup execution
- Hands-on exposure to modern AI development tools and practices
- Opportunity to shape how AI is applied to real-world problems
Compensation Structure
This role follows a phased model. The first month is a hands-on training period where you'll work directly with the founding team to learn our tools, workflows, and product context. Months 2 and 3 are a paid probation period with a stipend. From month 4, compensation scales with your performance and contribution to the team.
Interview Process
The interview process will focus on how you think and build, not just theoretical knowledge. You should be prepared to:
- Walk us through one or more projects you've built
- Explain design choices, trade-offs, and failures
- Demo your work (GitHub, live app, or prototype)
- Discuss how you used AI tools during development
Who Should Apply
- Final-year undergraduate or postgraduate students
- Recent graduates (0–1 years experience)
- Students who actively build projects outside coursework
- Curious, self-driven learners excited about AI-powered products
We care more about how you think and experiment than what's written on your resume.
